Battle Creek Knights Professional Basketball Team Head West This Weekend, Back Home April 30th

Battle Creek Knights News Release


The Battle Creek Knights professional basketball team head on the road Friday, April 22nd through Sunday, April 24th, for a trio of games at Windy City, Des Moines, and Waterloo. Battle Creek Knights are 3-0 entering the third week of the International Basketball League schedule. The Knights current scoring leader is Bobby Madison (WMU). Other Battle Creek Knights players averaging in double digit scoring presently is Jamal Goodings (Knoxville), Mike Williams (WMU), Ben Reed (WMU) and Eugene Seals (Miami of Ohio).

The Knights first opponent on the road trip is the Windy City Dawgs on Friday, April 22nd, in Palatine, Illinois. The Windy City Dawgs is led in scoring by Marlon Landon who played college basketball at Depaul University. Currently, Windy City is 2-1 on the season.

The Knights second opponent this upcoming weekend is the Des Moines Heat on Saturday, April 23rd, in Des Moines, Iowa. The Des Moines Heat is led in scoring by Terrence McGee who went to Southwest Missouri State University. At present, Des Moines is 2-0 on the season.

The Knights road trip out west wraps up against the Waterloo Kings on Sunday, April 24th, in Waterloo, Iowa. Former NBA all star player, Tim Hardaway, scored 45 points for the Kings in their season opener. Another player to watch for with the Waterloo Kings is Aaron Middendorf who played college basketball at nearby University of Northern Iowa. Waterloo is currently 0-2 on the season.

The Battle Creek Knights will play one more road game at Macomb County on Friday, April 29th, before returning home on Saturday, April 30th vs. the Grand Rapids Flight. Tickets are available for the game on April 30th vs. Grand Rapids, tip off time 7 p.m., by calling the Kellogg Arena box office, across from Full Blast, at 269-965-3308.
