Battle Creek, Michigan-On Tuesday, July 19th, at City Hall, Mayor John Godfrey and the Battle Creek City Commission declared Wednesday, July 20th, 2005, Battle Creek Knights Professional Basketball Team Day, in the city of Battle Creek.
The proclamation was given in honor of the team's success in their inaugural season finishing with a 21-0 record, winning the International Basketball League Regular Season and Playoff Championships, and for having a positive effect on the City of Battle Creek.
