Battle Creek Knights Add Former Detroit Piston Charles Thomas To Roster

Battle Creek, Michigan-The Battle Creek Knights professional basketball team are proud to announce the addition of 6'4" combo guard, Charles Thomas, to the active roster for this Friday night's away contest vs. the Holland Blast. Charles is returning from playing in Sweden where his team was a championship finalist.

"He adds strong perimeter skills and veteran leadership to our team. We hope to improve in the area of three point shooting with his addition," Greg Williams, Knights head coach, stated on the addition of Charles Thomas to the team.

Charles Thomas was an all state player in basketball at Lansing Everett High School. Charles was selected as a Greater Lansing, Michigan, Hall of Fame Athlete.

Charles played his college basketball at Eastern Michigan University where he appeared in the NCAA tournament as a freshman. As a senior, his EMU team made a trip to the NCAA Sweet 16.

Charles played from 1991-92 with the Detroit Pistons. He has played with various teams overseas with his last stops in Australia and Sweden. Also, Charles has played and won league championships in the CBA with the Grand Rapids Hoops and the Connecticut Pride. All total, Charles has 15 years of professional basketball playing experience.
