Battery Squares Off With Dutch Lions

Charleston, SC. - The Charleston Battery (7-5-6) takes on the Dayton Dutch Lions (7-4-6) Friday night at Blackbaud Stadium, Daniel Island; gates open at 6 PM with kick off set for 7:30 PM. The Battery enters the game level on points with Dayton in a three-way tie for sixth position in the USL PRO tables.

It's Family Night on Friday with special family packs available that include 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 sodas all for only $30.

Friday night's game is presented by the YP Real Yellow Pages and the first 1000 fans through the turnstiles will receive complementary rally towels. To purchase Family Packs please call (843) 971-GOAL (4625), tickets are also available at www.charlestonbattery.com.

Friday's game will be broadcast live on Sports radio 1450 AM presented by the Angie Gainey Bailey Real Estate team and will also be available via a live video stream at www.USLnation.com.

The Battery dropped a pair of games in Florida last weekend falling 2-1 in Orlando and 4-2 in Tampa.

Forward Jose Cuevas scored in both matches to take his regular season tally to four goals, one behind the team-leading Nicki Paterson.

This is the second time the Battery has faced Dayton this season; Charleston defeated the Dutch Lions 1-0 back on May 3 behind a goal from Nicki Paterson in a game played in Dayton.

The Dutch Lions came from behind three times last Sunday to earn a 3-3 tie with Orlando City. Dayton's veteran defender Shintaro Harada was red-carded in the game and will be unavailable for selection through suspension on Friday night.
