Louisville Bats News Release
3B Brandon Larson today was sent to Class AAA Louisville on his second rehabilitation assignment...tonight the Bats begin a 6-game homestand vs Richmond(2g) and Norfolk (4g)...Larson's first rehab stint ended during his first plate appearance when he was hit on the inside of his right elbow with the first pitch thrown by Richmond's Travis Smith...he is on the Reds' disabled list with a sprained right great toe ("turf toe").
Larson holds the Louisville franchise record for career home runs (61), career grand slams (4), career extra base hits (134), and longest hitting streak (26). He is third in career RBI in Louisville franchise history at 202, trailing Rod Brewer (221) and Stan Royer (209).
