Baseball & Brews at RDS August 4th

Jupiter, Fla-Roger Dean Stadium will host Baseball & Brews on Saturday, August 4, beginning at 5:30 p.m. when gates open for a game between the Charlotte Stone Crabs and the home standing Jupiter Hammerheads.

The second- annual Baseball & Brews event, sponsored by Brown Distributing, will combine two of America's classics- baseball and American craft beer. The unique and fun experiences will provide diehard baseball fans and beer connoisseurs another avenue for great fun at an inexpensive price.

Last season, Baseball & Brews was such a huge success that this season it has grown in size, as the breweries that will be in attendance have doubled. While this growth has occurred, Roger Dean Stadium has not changed its stance on serving the connoisseur at an affordable price. Tickets to the event will remain the same as last season, and can be purchased in advance for $20 dollars, while tickets increase to only $25 dollars the day of the game.

Fans will receive a ticket to the game between the Hammerheads and Stone Crabs, a complimentary souvenir tasting mug and chance to sample over 50 regional and national brews.

The event welcomes all fans, as their will be a hot dog eating contest and corn hole challenge among some of the festivities during the beer tasting. Designated drivers are urged to join the fun, as they can participate in all the non-drinking festivities, while providing safe and responsible transportation after the event. Designated driver tickets can be purchased for $12.

"I am very excited about hosting Baseball & Brews again this season," said Roger Dean stadium General Manager Mike Bauer. "This year we have added 500 more tickets to the event. We have also made the improvements necessary to exceed our fans expectations from a year ago. There will be more fluid access, more beer vendors and more access space. This is an exciting and fun event for all those involved."

Experts from Brown Distributing will be on hand to provide insight and pour samples from breweries including PALM, Tequesta Brewing, Merchant Du Vin, Cigar City, Blue Point Brewing, Innis & Gunn, Cisco Brewing, Kromebacher, Shipyard, Stone, Terrapin, Cisco, Monk in the Trunk, Oskar Blues and more. The sampling will begin at 5:30 p.m. and last until 8:30 p.m.

Only 1,500 specially-priced tickets will be sold for the Baseball & Brews event and you must be 21 or older to participate.
