Barrie Colts News Release
Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts are encouraging fans to bring non-perishable food items and toys to their home games this week as the club hosts the Owen Sound Attack Thursday (7:30 p.m.) and the Sarnia Sting on Saturday (7:30 p.m.).
Barrie Christmas Cheer will have drop-off locations at all entrances to the Molson Centre arena. Cash donations will also be accepted, with hopes of raising money that will also go towards Christmas Cheer, who has been helping less fortunate families in the Barrie area every Christmas for over 30 years. All donated items will be used to assemble over 1,100 Christmas hampers to be distributed to Simcoe County residents that will need some assistance this Christmas.
Saturday Night Festivities
In addition to Christmas Cheer, the Colts Saturday will be hosting free horse-drawn sleigh rides for kids in the near North parking lot from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Santa Claus will also make an appearance at the game, plus free face-painting is available in the North Concourse prior to the game and during intermissions. Both games will feature LIVE entertainment in Casey's Restaurant & Grill after the conclusion of the game.
Tickets for both games are still available and can be purchased on-line at www.barriecolts.com, via phone by calling 1-866-9-GET-TIX, or in person at the Coltsport Store box office located at the West entrance of the Barrie Molson Centre.
