
Barrett and Soumare represent Generation adidas in 0-0 draw with Real Madrid reserves

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (Nov. 29, 2007) - The Generation adidas team met the Real Madrid Reserves earlier today at the Training Center in Valdebebas in Madrid, Spain. Fire forward Chad Barrett and midfielder Bakary Soumare started and played the full 90 minutes in the 0-0 tie. Real Madrid fielded their full reserve team that currently plays in the Spanish Second Division.
The Generation adidas squad dominated possession in the first half, with Kamara and Barrett each having good scoring chances in the early going. Guzan was not threatened in the first half and did not need to make a save. Kamara and Sims were effective in the first half, causing the Madrid defense trouble. The second half was an even affair, with each team getting good chances, but neither finding the back of the net.

First half - Brad Guzan, Marvell Wynne, Patrick Ianni, Jed Zayner, Hunter Freeman, Jacob Peterson, Nathan Sturgis, Bakary Soumare, Willie Sims, Chad Barrett, Kei Kamara
Second half - Brad Guzan, Tim Ward, Patrick Ianni, Jed Zayner, Hunter Freeman, Nico Colaluca, David Arvizu, Bakary Soumare, Amaechi Igwe, Chad Barrett, Kei Kamara
The team wraps up its trip over the weekend, and will attend the Real Madrid vs. Racing game. A number of players leave the group tomorrow to head back for the U-23 camp that will begin over the weekend.
