
Barracudas lose Duguay for 10 games

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. â The Jacksonville Barracudas today announced that the WHA2 has handed down seven suspensions from the altercation from last Friday's 6-4 win over Orlando.
Barracudas Head Coach Ron Duguay and Orlando Seals Head Coach Jim Paek have each received 10-game suspensions for their on-ice altercation late in the third period.
Also suspended was Barracudas defenseman Dan Pszenyczny (1 game), Orlando Seals players Ryan Anderson (6 games), Nello Ferrera (10 games), Mike Sanderson (1 game), and Ridvan Sadiki (1 game) for their roles in the brawl.
"We have to send a message that these actions will not be tolerated and there is no room for this in the WHA2," Director of Hockey Operations Taylor Hall said.
Because of the suspension, Duguay in ineligible to coach the Barracudas for the next 10 games beginning Friday, March 12 in Macon. He can have no contact with the team or league officials from two hours prior to each game and not until after each game is complete.
The Barracudas return to action this Friday against the Macon Trax. Face-off time is 7:35pm from the Centreplex in Macon. Catch all the live action through the Barracudas website at IRN.fm.
Jacksonville returns home on Sunday, March 14 against the Lakeland Loggerheads. Face-off time is 6:05pm. Single game tickets are available at the Veteran's Memorial Arena Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations.
