Ontario, California - The RGV Barracudas had their two game win streak snapped as they fell to the Ontario Fury by final of 9-2 at the Citizens Business Bank Arena on Sunday evening. The barracudas had a 4-2 deficit going in the fourth quarter before allowing 5 unanswered goals.
The first half only featured two goals both scored by Ontario as Tino Nunez scored in the first quarter and Maicon De Abreu added a power play goal in the second quarter to make it 2-0.
During the third quarter, RGV (2-7) got on the board on power play goal by Moises Gonzalez to make it a 2-1 contest. Ontario would respond with a goal as Douglas Lima made 3-1.
The final period, Ontario (4-4) would pad their lead as Adrien Perez scored to make it 4-1 game. RGV midfielder Julio Reyes would trim the Ontario lead to 4-2 and it would be as close as RGV would get. Ontario would go on and score five unanswered goals to put the game out of reach for RGV making the score 9-2.
RGV goalie Fidel Garcia would take the loss as he made 11 saves with his record falling to 2-3 on the season.
