Jacksonville Barracudas News Release

The Jacksonville Barracudas announce today the acquisition of defenceman Roustam Bakhriddinvov from the Winston-Salem Parrots.

The 22-year old Bakhriddinvov, had an outstanding junior career with the Chicoutimi Saqueneens of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

This season he has appeared in 23 games with the Parrots.

Bakhriddinvov will join the Barracudas for their upcoming road trip to Knoxville and Orlando.

Head coach Ron Duguay, and Director of Hockey Operations, Peter Young also announced that forward Chris Harper (broken finger) has now been placed on season ending I.R.

"Chris is an essential part of the future of the Barracudas," said Young. "We didn't want to take a chance of rushing him back into the lineup for the last couple of games of the season. It's more important to us that he be healthy next October."

These roster moves mean that new head coach Ron Duguay will have a full 16-man contingent for the first time since taking over the coaching duties.

The Cudas play in Knoxville on Thursday and Friday before meeting the league leading Orlando Seals at TD Waterhouse Center on Saturday night. They then head home for a seven game home stand, their longest of the season.
