
Barracudas 11-game home winning streak on the line this weekend

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Barracudas put their 11-game home winning streak on the line this weekend with games against Alabama on Friday night and Miami on Saturday night at the Veteran's Memorial Arena.
The Barracudas have not lost since opening night's 6-2 loss to Miami on November 28th. Since then, the Barracudas have rolled off 11 wins in a row at home and have outscored their opponents 46-26 in that stretch.
The first place Barracudas (20-9-1, 41 points) kick off the second half of the season this Friday night when they host the third place Alabama Slammers (17-11-3, 37 points). Face-off time is 7:05pm. It's Speedway Night as fans will have a chance to win tickets to Speed Week in Daytona including: Budweiser Shoot-Out, Hershey Kisses 300, Gatorade 125's, Florida Dodge Dealers IROC, and the Daytona 500 all compliments of Comcast.
Kory Baker leads all scorers against the Slammers this season with eight points (2g-6a). Lyle Steenbergen has added six points (3g-3a) and Klage Kaebel has scored five points (3g-2a). Alabama's Doug Lawrence has scored seven points against the Cudas (3g-4a).
On Saturday night, the Cudas host the Miami Manatees. Miami is the only team to beat the Barracudas at home. The season series is knotted at four apiece but the Cudas have won the last three. Saturday night is WOKV Clark Howard Cheap Seat Night with a 7:05pm face-off.
Miami's Oak Hewer leads all scorers with 16 points (7g-9a). Kevin Swider has added 15 points (3g-12a) while Tom Perry has kicked in 11 points (2g-9a).
The Barracudas, led by Klage Kaebel (3g-6a), and Jamie Miller (6g-3a) with nine points each, have out-shot Miami 300-246 this season. Lyle Steenbergen has eight points (4g-4a), while Derek Toninato has added seven points (3g-4a).
On Sunday, the Cudas travel to second place Orlando (18-9-2, 38 points). Face-off time is 1:05pm at the TD Waterhouse Center, a place that the Cudas haven't won in since December 14, 2002 when the Cudas upset the Seals 4-3. Kory Baker scored the game winner.
