
Barons Release 2009 Promotional Schedule

HOOVER, Ala - The Birmingham Barons announced their 2009 promotional schedule on Wednesday. The schedule features theme nights, special performing acts and the usual collection of nightly promotions. Once again in 2009, nearly every night will have a special theme or promotion. The nightly promotions are as followed:
Mondays: "Belly Buster Monday" (all-you-can-eat menus)
Tuesdays: Quarter Hot Dogs and Zoo Day
Thursday: Thirsty Thursday (dollar drinks and 25-cent boneless wings)
Fridays: Friday Night Fireworks
Saturdays: Super Saturday Fireworks and $5 Little Caesars Hot-N-Ready Pizzas
Sundays: Kids Eat Free (choice of one free combo meal with purchase of full-price kids ticket) and Dreamland Ribs available.
The second annual Pyro-Palooza (formerly SKYFEST) will be held on Saturday, August 8.
Appearances by famed performers such as BirdZerk!, ZOOperstars!, Myron Noodleman, Jake the Diamond Dog and Star Wars characters also highlight the promotional schedule
Special giveaways include Bobby Jenks bobble-heads, magnet schedules, beach towels, adult caps and kids jerseys.
Individual theme nights include Community Days presented by individual State Farm agents, scout nights, Christmas in July, Military Appreciation Night, Stress-Free Night, Parrot Head Night, Bald is Beautiful Night, 80's Night and a diamond dig.
The All-Star game festivities, which will take place on Monday, July 13 at Regions Park will include special appearances by ZOOperstars!, BirdZerk! and Jake the Diamond Dog. There will also be a special fireworks presentation at the game.
The Home Run Derby will feature a commemorative baseball giveaway to the first 500 fans.
