
Barons forward Tomas Petruska selected for World Junior Hockey Championship team

(Parma, OH)- The Cleveland Barons of the North American Hockey League is proud to announce that forward Tomas Petruska has been selected to participate in the 2006 World Junior Hockey Championship in Vancouver, British Columbia from December 26th through January 5, 2006. Petruska will be representing Slovakia.
The Presov, Slovakia native, arrived to the Barons in late October from the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL. In 10 games with the Barons, Petruska has 7 goals and 6 assists for 13 points.
Barons Head coach/ General Manager John Fritsche stated:" This is great honor for this young man to represent our organization and his country, we wish him all the best in Vancouver."
Petruska joins former Barons Dan Fritsche, Jim Slater, and Chris Bogas to play in this prestigious event. However Petruska is the first player that was selected while currently playing for the Barons
