Barons Boosters to Hold Food Drive

HOOVER, AL - The Birmingham Barons Booster Club announced it will sponsor a food drive to benefit the Jimmie Hale Mission on June 19 and 20. The Food drive will be held at the entrance of Regions Park. Any fan that donates five non-perishable food items will be entered into a drawing for special autographed items from the Barons players and coaches.

The Jimmie Hale Mission is in need of multiple items in order to continue their mission to assist the families of Birmingham. The list of items needed includes: canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned soups, instant potatoes, boxed cereal, rice, paper towels, paper napkins, toilet paper, toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable razors, shaving cream, stick deodorant and much more. The Birmingham Barons Booster club is an organization comprised of Barons fans, sponsors, and season ticket holder that work to ensure that the Barons players and coaches have a comfortable and enjoyable time in Birmingham.  They frequently make trips to the airport to pickup players and player's families, host monthly dinners for the team, and provide gift bags and care packages for Barons players.
