BayBears Finish First Half in Five-Game Homestand Starting Wednesday

MOBILE, Ala. - Holding on to their playoff aspirations, the Mobile BayBears (Double-A Arizona Diamondbacks) will attempt to make one last surge towards a first-half division championship, starting on Wednesday night when they welcome the Tennessee Smokies (Double-A Chicago Cubs) to Hank Aaron Stadium.

It'll be a Wine Down Wednesday at "The Hank" with $1 Yellow Tail White & Red Wine available between 6 and 8 p.m. Left-hander Pat McAnaney will take the hill for the BayBears in the first contest against the Smokies, who are in first place in the Southern League's North Division.

Don't forget your ID when you come to the ballpark on Thirsty Thursday for game two against the Smokies which starts at 7:05. Buds and Pepsi will be $1 each from 6 to 8 p.m. Dr. Feelgood will also be in attendance pre-game to delight the fans with his blend of style and music.

Friday night, the BayBears and Smokies battle in game three of their five-game set at 7:05. Fireworks will be blasted into the sky post-game while it will also be the first Fritos Family Friday. Please visit www.milb.com/fritos for more information on Fritos Family Fridays.

The BayBears will welcome the Smokies to the ballpark on Saturday night for game four of their series at 7:05 on a Kids-Eat-Free Saturday. Kids, 12 and under, will receive a free hot dog and Pepsi voucher with a box seat purchase. Saturday also marks the second Go Green Night of the year from ASM Recycling. Plus the first 1,000 BayBear fans that arrive will get to take home a team picture of the 2010 BayBears.

Fausak Family Sunday will wrap up the homestand on Sunday evening at 6:05. Kids can play catch on the field before the game from 5 to 5:30 p.m. and run the bases after the contest.
