Winnipeg Goldeyes News Release

Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today the re-acquisition of right-handed pitcher Chandler Barnard from the San Angelo Colts of the United League for a player to be named later.

Barnard, 28, went 1-0 with a 5.06 ERA in one start with the Goldeyes during his first stint with the team earlier this month. He also pitched three scoreless innings in the suspended game against the St. Paul Saints on June 13. In five appearances, including four starts, with San Angelo this season, he is 2-1 with a 1.36 ERA. He was originally acquired from San Angelo on June 8 and traded back to the Colts on June 14.

The Goldeyes now have 22 players on their roster, including 12 pitchers and 10 position players.

Barnard is expected to start the second game of tonight's doubleheader against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. The first game is scheduled for 5 p.m., followed approximately 30 minutes later by the second game. Both games are scheduled for seven innings and Archangel Fireworks will close out the evening with an amazing fireworks show.

Fans with tickets dated for games on June 14, 15 or 29, which were rained out, can exchange them at the Shaw Park box office for any future 2014 Goldeyes home game.

Tickets for all 2014 Winnipeg Goldeyes games and the 2014 American Association All-Star Game are available through Ticketmaster by clicking on Goldeyes.com, calling 1-855-GOLDEYE or visiting any Ticketmaster location, including the Shaw Park box office.
