
Barberio Suspended One Game

BOUCHERVILLE, Tuesday, January 5, 2010 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Disciplinary Prefect today announced that Moncton Wildcats defenseman Mark Barberio has been suspended for one game for spearing an opponent during last Sunday's game against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.
The decision was rendered after reviewing the videotape of the incident and after consulting all concerned parties.
In accordance with the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the Disciplinary Prefect will not be available for further comment.
