
Bandits Sign Three to One-Year Deals

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Bandits today announced the team has signed forward Chase Fraser and transition players Matt Gilray and Ian MacKay to one-year contracts. All three signings are pending league approval.
Fraser (6'3", 200 lbs., 8/3/1995) rejoins the Bandits after playing in nine games and recording 14 points (8+6) with the team last season. The Vancouver, British Columbia, native played collegiately for the Neumann University Knights for one season before being selected by Buffalo in the second round (13th overall) in the 2017 NLL Entry Draft.
Gilray (6'3", 215 lbs., 5/15/1995) was selected by the Bandits in the first round (3rd overall) of the 2018 NLL Entry Draft. The Oshawa, Ontario, native spent the previous four seasons playing college lacrosse for Bucknell University. In 53 games with the Bison, Gilray recorded 10 points (5+5) and scooped up 149 ground balls. A team captain his junior and senior seasons, Gilray earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors three times (2016, 2017, 2018).
MacKay (5'10", 210 lbs., 5/31/1994) signs with the Bandits after being selected by Buffalo in the first round (fourth overall) in the 2018 NLL Entry Draft. The Port Elgin, Ontario, native spent four years playing for the University of Vermont Catamounts. He recorded 230 points (150+80) in 62 games played and served as team captain in 2017 and 2018. MacKay earned America East First Team All-Conference honors three times (2015, 2016, 2018) in addition to being named the America East Offensive Player of the Year (2016) and America East Rookie of the Year (2014).
