
Bandits Sign Buque to One-Year Deal

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Bandits today announced the team has signed goaltender Alex Buque (BOO-kay) to a one-year contract.
Buque (5'10", 230 lbs., 9/27/1992) was acquired by the Bandits on Aug. 1, 2017, from Colorado with Callum Crawford in exchange for Ryan Benesch and a conditional third-round pick in 2018 NLL Entry Draft. The goaltender dressed for 18 games during the 2017 season with the Mammoth having, 0-3 record and a 10.34 goals-against average.
Buque also played for the New Westminster Salmonbellies of the Western Lacrosse Association in 2017. He posted a 9-5-1 recorded in the regular season with a 7.25 goals-against average in 16 games. Buque also started 12 playoff games for the Salmonbellies, going 8-4 with a 7.82 goals-against average, adding three assist, winning the 2017 WLA Championship and taking home the WLA playoff MVP.
