North Iowa Outlaws News Release
(Blaine, MN) The Texarkana Bandits blitzed the North Iowa Outlaws for three goals in a six-minute span to start the second period, en route to a 6-1victory at the North American Hockey League Showcase in Blaine, MN. The defeat was the most lopsided for the Outlaws, in their brief history.
Casey Haines scored twice, to pace a potent Bandit attack. Anthony Becker and Kerry Bence each collected two points, with a goal and an assist apiece. Bence, Jason Weeks, Graham Sisson, and Nic Polaski each netted a goal for Texarkana, which raised its record to 6-2-1 on the season. Miles Williams started in the nets for the Bandits for the first time this season, and turned away 32 of 33 Outlaws' shots, to collect the win.
The lone Outlaws' goal came early in the contest. Chris Mackay (Missouri City, TX) picked up his third goal, at 1:51 of the opening period. Max Mobley (Glendale, AZ) and Steve McLeod (Atikokan, Ontario, Canada) assisted on Mackay's goal.
The Outlaws get back onto the ice Friday morning, facing the Mahoning Valley (OH) Phantoms, in an 11:00 AM start at the Schwan's Super Rink in Blaine. The game will be broadcast in North Iowa, on Good Time Oldies, AM 1490, KRIB, with coverage beginning at 10:40 with the pre-game.
