Bandits Head Coach Moves Home
August 27, 2014 - Lone Star Football League (LSFL)
San Angelo Bandits News Release
The San Angelo Bandits would like to announce that Joe Brannen has moved home to Iowa. Joe has accepted the Head Coach's position with the Iowa Barnstormers. This is where originally started his professional career and is where his family lives. We are disappointed at the Bandits but happy for Joe.
Joe had the following to say: As tough as it is to leave the San Angelo Bandits organization, I have decided to take the head coaching position with the Iowa Barnstormers of the Indoor Football League. This is a dream opportunity to get back to my home state and take over the program where I started my professional playing career. Â I am extremely thankful for Randy and Sue Sanders for providing me an opportunity to do what I love and have made a a friendship that will span a lifetime.
I can't thank the city of San Angelo enough for the support they showed this season as we won the LSFL Championship! It was a magical run that wouldn't have been possible without the help and support of our sponsors, fans, support team, and obviously the players and coaching staff. It was a season we will remember forever.
After a championship run in 2014, and the new league merger, the Bandits are set up for success for the long haul and I can't wait to follow their continued success into the future! Joe Brannen
