
Bandits Bring Back Four for 2016 Season

BUFFALO, N.Y. (August 4, 2015) -- Buffalo Bandits General Manager Steve Dietrich today announced the team has agreed to terms on one-year contracts with transition player Matthew Bennett, forward Tyler Ferreira and defenseman Matt Spanger. The team has also agreed to terms with goaltender Davide DiRuscio on a two-year contract.
DiRuscio played 14 games for the Bandits during his rookie campaign in 2015, posting a 1-0 record with an 11.88 goals-against average and a .754 save percentage in 75:45 of playing time.
Buffalo's two second-round picks in the 2014 NLL Draft, Bennett (14th overall) and Ferreira (18th overall) spent most of the season on the team's practice squad. Bennett collected seven loose balls in two games played as a runner, and also served as the Bandits' backup goaltender on an emergency basis for one game.
Spanger is currently playing for the Brampton Excelsiors of Major Series Lacrosse. He has one goal and one assist in eight games for the club.
