December 5, 2007 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA)
Baltimore Mariners News Release

BALTIMORE, MD - The Baltimore Mariners Professional Indoor Football team will host their second open tryouts on Saturday, December 15 at Myers Pavilion. The Mariners begin their first season in the American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) in March of 2008. All home games will be played at the 11,000 seat 1st Mariner Arena in downtown Baltimore.

Registration for the December tryouts begins at 10:00 a.m.

All players will be evaluated in the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle and standing broad jump. Selected players who exceed the Mariners testing standards will be invited to participate in an elite workout later in the day, where players will be evaluated in drills specific to the game of Indoor Football.

Registration is $50 and is payable by cash or money order to the Baltimore Mariners. Participants will register on site the morning of open tryout. However, the Mariners encourage participants to log onto baltimoremariners.com and submit a Player Application form that is listed on the site.

All participants will need to provide their own attire for the non-padded workouts. Participants will be given a Mariners T-Shirt and a number to wear during testing, but must provide their own shoes (grass cleats and turf shoes - no track spikes allowed), shorts or tights and accessories. The Baltimore Mariners are not responsible for travel or lodging expenses.

The Mariners signed three players from their previous tryout camp and have invited 12 other participants to return for further evaluation. Up to 20 players from the December 15 tryout will be invited to attend the Mariners' two day mini camp in January.

Baltimore Mariners' Season Ticket and Sponsorship Package information for the 2008 season can be found on our website at www.baltimoremariners.com.
