BALTIMORE, MD (August 31, 2010) - What's a team do after compiling an unprecedented 16-0 record and winning a national championship? In the case of the Baltimore Mariners; it's get back to work.

Mariners General Manager Greg Justice commented, "Much like our 2010 slogan, this off season has been Fast, Furious, and Fun! From National Championship recognition to signing of the veteran players, the pace is fast and moving forward to defending our AIFA championship in 2011."

While the thoughts of most local football fans have turned to the Baltimore Ravens, the Mariners are busy putting together their squad to defend their American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) championship next spring. Baltimore has received commitments from the bulk of their 2010 championship squad for next season and will begin announcing individual player signings over the next few weeks.

Mariners' linebacker and former Towson University All-American Brian Bradford commented, "The success we had last season was a reflection of the players returning for a common goal. The extra year of team bonding built our chemistry and we played for the teammates by our side. Since most of the Mariner players are returning I have nothing but high hopes for another run at the title in 2011."

Justice has also received commitments from all of the Mariners' 2010 assistant coaches and Baltimore's head coach for 2011 should be announced in the coming weeks and set to take the helm soon.

The Mariners, which have compiled a 25-6 record the last two seasons, earned back-to-back playoff berths, and the team's first national title in July, will also be announcing season ticket information for 2011 in plenty of time for holiday shopping.
