(County Stadium - Yakima, WA) - Canadians 1B Balbino Fuenmayor was the offensive difference as the Venezuelan drove in all three runs in a 3-2 come from behind victory over Yakima on Wednesday night at County Stadium.

Vancouver opened the scoring in the top of the 1st inning when 1B Balbino Fuenmayor hit an RBI single off of Yakima starter RHP Derrick Stultz that brought CF D.J. Davis (walk) home to give the Canadians a 1-0 lead.

Yakima would grab a pair of runs with the go ahead marker coming in the bottom of the 6th inning when C Ronnie Freeman hit a single off of Canadians reliever RHP Jon Lucas that scored 1B Jacob House (walk) to give the Bears their first lead of the night at 2-1.

The Canadians would trail heading into the top of the 8th inning a benefit from a key error that helped set the stage. With CF D.J. Davis on at first base (walk), Yakima reliever LHP Wil Locante would get 3B Kellen Sweeney to pop out to Bears LF Yogey Perez-Ramos who would drop the routine fly out and put runners at first and second base with no one out. From there, Canadians 1B Balbino Fuenmayor would hit a two-run double into the right-center field gap scoring both Davis and Sweeney to help give Vancouver a 3-2 lead.

Canadians closer RHP Arik Sikula would shut down the Bears in the bottom of the 9th for his 9th save of the summer to help Vancouver secure the victory and keep pace with the Emeralds in the West Division.
