Bakersfield Condors News Release

Bakersfield, Calif. -The Bakersfield Condors today announced the signing of forward Justin Quenneville and defenseman Anders Olsson for the 2005-06 season.

Quenneville, 23, will be making his way West after a year in the United Hockey League. Quenneville played two games with the UHL's Richmond Riverdogs before being traded down river to the Missouri River Otters. He put up 17 goals, 19 assists and 36 points as a River Otter in 2004-05. Prior to playing on both river teams, Quenneville played four years at St. Michael's College in Vermont, where he racked up 59 goals and 70 assists in 99 games.

Olsson, 26, played for Mastini Varese HC in Italy where he put up 2 goals, 11 assists and 13 points during the 2004-05 season. Prior to Varese HC Olsson played in 101 games at Bemidji State University in Minnesota, where he recorded 7 goals 33 assists and 40 points.

"Justin has the skills to go on to the next level. He's a high energy, in your face, blue-collar worker, which fits the Bakersfield mold," said Condors Head Coach Marty Raymond. "Anders is a great skater with lots of tenacity. Although he is considered a rookie by ECHL standards despite playing four years of college and one year of pro hockey overseas, he'll be a great asset to the team."

The addition of Quenneville and Olsson brings the total number of players under contract to five for the upcoming 2005-06 season. Condors already signed for 2005-06 are C Sean Venedam, D Nate Metcalf and D Reagan Leslie.
