Bakersfield - The Bakersfield Blitz take on the Stockton Lightning on Saturday, July 22. Kick off is set for 7:00 p.m. at Rabobank Arena.

The season series between the Blitz and the Lightning is tied 1-1. In their first meeting, the Blitz sent the Lightning home after they were defeated 55-26 on April 29. On May 20, the Lightning returned with a 42-49 win, tying the series. The Blitz are currently in third place in the National West Division with an overall record of 7-7. The Lightning trail the Blitz at fourth place with an overall record of 5-9.

Saturday's game is "Break the Bank Night" at Rabobank Arena; seats will be sold as low as $5. As the Blitz team is coming off a four week losing streak, the Blitz organization is confident that the team will come out on top when they play the third to last defensive team in the league, the Stockton Lightning. The Blitz are so confident they guarantee a win on Saturday, July 22 against the Lightning or all fans in attendance will receive a free ticket to the next home game on Saturday, July 29.

The Blitz pre-game show and full play-by-play coverage will be held on KERN AM 1410 starting at 6:00 p.m. with host, Puck Whitnack. The game will be broadcasted on Brighthouse Networks on Sunday, July 23 at 7:00 p.m. with play-by-play announcers, Vance Palm and Brian Adams.
