Bakersfield Blitz News Release
Bakersfield - Bakersfield Blitz launch their new website, www.bakersfieldblitz.com, today, Thursday, March 30.
"Our new website is very clean and visually attractive. It will allow viewers to easily maneuver through team information and game news. We are going to utilize this as one of our best tools to bring awareness of the Blitz." Jim Lambright said, Assistant General Manager of the Blitz.
The website features the Blitz 2006 season schedule along with player information and biographies, updated game information and Blitz news, ticket information, Blitz partners, Blitz Girls, and more.
Bakersfieldblitz.com is developed and hosted by The Marcom Group, a Bakersfield advertising agency. "The Blitz website has a host of multi-dimensional features, as unique and exciting as the team itself. With an on-line store and the ability to view regularly updated news and statistics, the site offers fans a dynamic and interactive experience." Courtney Kearnes said, Managing Director at The Marcom Group.
The Marcom Group has recently won numerous awards for their innovative interactives with the Bakersfield Blitz mini-site, the temporary site in operation while the full Bakersfield Blitz website was in development. One of the awards received was the silver ADDY award in the local round of the American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards competition. The site received the honor in the Interactive Mini-site category and is eligible for judging in the District ADDY competition.
Bakersfieldblitz.com is a great accessory that will direct the public to attend Blitz home games. Their first home game will be Sunday, April 9 when the Blitz battle the Spokane Shock. Kick off is set for 3:00 p.m. at Rabobank Arena. The first 5,000 fans will receive a 2006 Blitz schedule magnet and thunder stick.
Season tickets for the Blitz 2006 season are on sale now, as well as single game tickets. Ticket plans start as low as $80 and single game tickets are as low as $10 in the lower bowl. Tickets will be available at the Rabobank Arena box office and any Ticketmaster location.
