Tampa, FL - The Tampa Yankees will celebrate the beginning of another school year as they host their annual "Back to School Blast" on Friday, July 25 at George M. Steinbrenner Field. They play the Fort Myers Miracle in their second series matchup this season. The game will begin at 7:00 pm & the gates will open to all fans at 6:00 pm.
The first 600 kids to arrive (age 14 & under) will save their parents some money before school starts by receiving a backpack filled with school supplies, sponsored by Bill Currie Ford & Hi-Chew.
In addition to "Back to School Blast", it will be Bill Currie Ford Social Media Friday. All fans are encouraged to check our Facebook, Twitter & Google + pages for a keyword to use at the ticket office for just $2 admission. Fans can also enjoy Select Drink Specials, $10 All-You-Can-Eat chicken wings on the Walgreens Deck & $1 small sodas at the Grill from 6-8:00 pm.
Before & during the game, the Tampa Kids Market will be on the concourse for fans to enjoy. The market will feature Kids Vendors between ages 6-17 as well as live entertainment.
After the game, fans can enjoy a fireworks display, courtesy of Wells Fargo.
