LAST TIME OUT: The B-Mets surrendered 16 hits and were thumped by the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 11-2, Wednesday night at NYSEG Stadium. Phillip Evans went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run and Victor Cruzado was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Rainy Lara allowed three runs on five hits in four innings and took the loss. Major League rehabber Wilmer Flores was hitless in five at bats and logged nine innings defensively at first base.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: The B-Mets turn to RHP Robert Gsellman for the series finale. His 2.56 ERA is the lowest among all Binghamton pitchers despite it having risen from 1.77 over his last two starts. Gsellman most recently pitched on Saturday in Akron after spending nine days on the disabled list. He was tagged for a season-high seven hits and equaled a season-high by allowing three earned runs in five innings. The B-Mets lost the game, 5-2.

RICHMOND STARTER: Richmond will turn to a spot starter as RHP Dan Slania takes the mound. Slania has appeared 17 times this season, all out of the bullpen. His longest outing of the year came on 5/10 against Harrisburg when he allowed three runs on four hits in 2.1 innings and took the loss. Slania has pitched once in this series, he surrendered a run on two hits in 0.2 innings and was the losing pitcher on Monday night. The righty has 141 career appearances and Thursday will be his first start.

TAKE THREE, THEY'RE SMALL: Victor Cruzado and Phillip Evans each went 3-for-4 in Wednesday's loss to Richmond, the 21st and 22nd B-Mets to record three hits in a game this season. For Evans, it was his first career three-hit game at Double-A. No Binghamton batters have had four hits in a game this season.

NOT MUCH RELIEF: The B-Mets bullpen allowed eight runs on 11 hits in five innings on Wednesday, the most hits and runs it has allowed in a game this season. Tim Peterson was touched for six runs on seven hits over 1.2 innings, both season-highs for a B-Mets reliever. The season-long bullpen ERA rose from 4.03 to 4.40.

TOUGH LUCK ROBERT: Today's starter Robert Gsellman is winless in his last six starts and has taken a loss in three of his last four. On average he receives 2.9 runs per game in support, the lowest mark of any B-Met starter. Binghamton has scored two runs or fewer for him in six of his eight starts.

EARLY BIRDS MISSING THE WORM: The B-Mets are playing their fourth game with an AM start time today. Binghamton is 0-3 in the morning games and 4-10 in day games.

DOUBLE DIGIT KNOCKS: Binghamton recorded 11 hits in Wednesdays loss and has now lost three-straight games in which it puts up double-digit hits. The B-Mets are now 9-5 when they manage at least ten hits

NEXT GAME PREVIEW: The B-Mets welcome the Trenton Thunder for the first matchup of a four-game series. Friday's first pitch is set for 7:05 P.M.
