Austin Aztex News Release
AUSTIN, Texas (Friday, May 1, 2015) - The Austin Aztex announced Friday they have received forward Adam Bedell from its MLS affiliate Columbus Crew SC on loan.
Bedell becomes the second Black & Gold player to be loaned to Austin as part of the affiliation agreement announced between both clubs in late November, 2014. Crew SC retains the option to recall Bedell at any point while on loan. Defender Kalen Ryden was loaned to the Aztex in March and has appeared in every minute for the squad through six games this season.
"We are excited to bring in a proven MLS forward to help strengthen our squad over the coming weeks due to our affiliation with Columbus," Aztex Head Coach Paul Dalglish said. "Adam is a young forward with a lot of potential who we look forward working with."
Bedell, a 6'7" forward, was selected by Crew SC 45th overall in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft and made 16 appearances in MLS action last season, scoring two goals.
The Austin Aztex continue their inaugural 2015 season with a home game versus OKC Energy FC on Friday, May 1 at 8 p.m. at House Park. Tickets can be purchased online at www.austinaztex.com.
