(Yuma, AZ. Feburary 7, 2011): After three days of a full slate of games, the Saskatchewan SilverSox remain the lone undefeated team in the Arizona Winter League.
Saskatchewan SilverSox 14
Team Mexico 9
The Saskatchewan SilverSox extended their win streak to three against Team Mexico (1-2) to start off their Arizona Winter League campaign. Matthew Wilkerson reached base on four of his five at bats and knocked in an RBI in the sixth inning, while Robert Thornton went 2-2 with two singles and an RBI as the SilverSox defeated Team Mexico 14-9 in a seven-inning game. Yoshimune Tatematsu (1-0) picked up his first win pitching five innings giving up five runs on seven hits. WP- Tatematsu (1-0) LP - Aaron Wideman (0-1).
Long Beach Armada 13
Blythe Heat 12
The Long Beach Armada (1-2) picked up their first win of the Arizona Winter League in a 13-12 victory, which handed the Blythe Heat (2-1) their first loss of the tournament. Long Beach lead after three innings 9-3, but gave up nine runs over the next four innings to tie the game at 12. In the top of the eighth,

Arizona Roadrunners 4
Team Canada (2-1) picked up its second straight victory defeating the Arizona Roadrunners (1-2) 6-4, despite a comeback attempt late. Canada collected three triples in the game by Jesse Brown, Davis Page, and Aaron Dunsmore to help spark a two-run victory. Masato Chikushi pitched six innings giving up two runs on five hits while striking out nine batters. WP - Chikushi (1-1), LP - Justin Bautista (0-1).
Sonora Pilots 10
Western Canada Miners 9
The Sonora Pilots (2-1) held onto a narrow victory over the Western Canada Miners (1-2) despite giving up five runs in the final two innings. The Pilots scored all 10 of their runs in the first three innings due to two-RBIs from Will Wright, Aaron Turner, and Joseph Kala. Koji Tsukamoto (1-0) pitched four innings giving up four runs on six hits and striking out three Miners before giving way to Jake Logan and Dennis Goodline, who picked up his second save on the year. WP - Tsukamoto (1-0, LP - Nate Gage (0-1), Save - Goodline (2).
San Diego Surf Dawgs 8
Yuma Scorpions 7
The San Diego Surf Dawgs (1-2) notched their first victory of the tournament over the Yuma Scorpions (1-2) in extra innings. Heading into the top of the eighth inning, the Scorpions were up 7-3 before giving up four runs to the Surf Dawgs to tie the game up at the end of seven. With the bases loaded in the top of the sixth, Bryan Burke of the Surf Dawgs hit a two-run double to cut the deficit to one. In the top of the eighth, three straight singles, including an RBI single by Josh Axelson gave San Diego an insurmountable lead. WP- Billy Robbett (1-0), LP - Nicholas Naegele (0-1).
