The Blythe Heat (3-1) handed the Saskatchewan SilverSox their first loss of the young Arizona Winter League season 9-4, after a five-run second inning. The Heat's hitting remained scorching getting two-RBIs from David Carter and Michael Derr, and RBIs from Brandon Howard, AC Grable, and Efrain Gonzalez. Todd McGee pitched a stellar six innings giving up one run on five hits while striking out five SilverSox. WP - Todd McGee (1-0), LP - Yuki Tatematsu (1-1).

Sonora Pilots 12

Yuma Scorpions 8

The Sonora Pilots (3-1) tied for first place in the International Division in the Arizona Winter League with a win over the Yuma Scorpions (1-3) 12-8 in the late game at Desert Sun Stadium in Yuma. A crucial three run error on the third baseman Coletyn Charlton, led to an eight run bottom of the third for the Pilots. Jack Winters (1-0) picked up the victory in his second appearance of the year, going four innings giving up five runs on four hits, Loren Lauver closed out the game pitching three innings in relief giving up three runs on five hits. WP - Jack Winters (1-0), LP - Ryan Reitmeier (0-1).

Team Mexico 8

San Diego Surf Dawgs 1

Team Mexico (2-2) came away with a victory over last place San Diego Surf Dawgs (1-3) after Hoon Namgung pitched the second complete game of the day in the Arizona Winter League. Hangung (1-1) evened his record in the AWL pitching seven innings giving up one run off five hits and striking out seven over the Surf Dawgs. Mexico scored in every single inning except for the final inning to blowout Mexico 8-1 and trail Saskatchewan and Sonora in the International Division. WP- Hoon Namgung (1-0), LP - Paul Zieser (0-1).

Team Canada 1

Western Canada Miners 2

The Western Canada Miners (2-2) evened their record on the season against Team Canada (2-2) due to a complete game by pitcher Johnny Holley. After scoring one run in the first inning, the Miners needed a run in the top of the seventh to pick up the narrow victory of Canada. Johnny Holley (1-1) struck out a season high 11 batters giving up just one run on four hits while picking up his first victory of the year. WP - Johnny Holley (1-1), LP - Will Russell (0-1).

Long Beach Armada 10

Arizona Roadrunners 6

The Long Beach Armada (2-2) notched their second victory of the year despite trailing by four runs to the Arizona Roadrunners (1-3) after just the first inning. Jesse Schmidt and Bobby Cale both knocked in two RBIs to spur a victory for the Armada. Christian Tomsich (1-0) got his first victory of the year defeating Long Beach by tossing five innings of four hit ball giving up four runs (two earned) and walking three. WP - Tomsich (1-0), LP Glenn Maggill (0-1).
