LEWISTON, Maine - The Brooklyn Aviators scored three unanswered goals to defeat the Akwesasne Warriors 3-2 at the Maine Event on Thursday night in Federal Hockey League action at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.

Aviators' rookie forward Jordan Bernier snapped a 2-2 tied after he deposited the game-winning goal on the power play at the 14:14 mark of the final period from Andrew Scampoli.

The first period saw great end-to-end action as both teams generated high quality scoring chances. However, it was the Warriors striking first on the power play at the 15:55 spot of the opening frame. Miguel Delisle netted his first of the season after he put home a loose rebound in front of Aviators' netminder Tommy Lee, who stopped 15 of 16 shots in the first for Brooklyn.

Former NHL-forward Pierre Dagenais gave the Warriors as 2-0 edge 7:03 into the second period. Dagenais was left alone on the doorstep and put home a one-timer from line-mate Patrice Brunet from the right wing corner.

The Aviators though, cut the lead in half at 2-1 just 3:57 later, as Chris Ferrazoli cashed in on a rebound to tally his first marker of the season. Bernier threw the puck in front of Akwesasne goaltender David Plouffe, but the puck bounced behind him and landed on Ferazzoli's stick who had a wide open net.

Rookie left-winger Anthony Iaquinto tied the game for Brooklyn at the 13:23 mark of the third period when he snapped a short side shot over Plouffe's glove.

Lee made 28 stops en route to his first victory in an Aviators' jersey, while Plouffe is charged with the loss despite turning aside 39 shots.
