
Aviators swept by Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, Texas â The Fort Worth Cats got off to a big start and didn't look back as they defeated the Coastal Bend Aviators 9-1. The win completed a sweep of the three-game series for the Cats.
In the first inning Fort Worth opened up the scoring on a two-run homer from Terence Green. Carlos Adolfo then scored on John Allen's ground out making the score 3-0. Jordan Foster then hit a two-run homer of his own making the score 5-0 after one innings.
David Keesee had a two-run double in the fourth inning. Also in the fourth, Adolfo added a RBI single making the score 8-0.
The Aviators scored their only run of the game in the eighth inning. Ben Tinius reached base with a single. Javerro January then doubled to make the score 9-1.
Ryan Weems (2-1) went the distance for Fort Worth, giving up only one run, to earn the win.
Matthew Rohr (1-1) started the game and took the loss for the Aviators, giving up eight earned runs in 3 2/3 innings pitched.
