Coastal Bend Aviators News Release
ROBSTOWN, Texas -The Coastal Bend Aviators have begun a streak here at home, unfortunately it is a losing one.
The Pelicans scored three unearned runs against Dan Henderson. Henderson pitched a great game but was tagged with the loss after pitching seven innings with three strikeouts and no walks.
The Aviators were held hitless until the seventh inning before Bert Aguilar broke through with a pinch-hit single. Jack Joffrion hit into the 6-4-3 double play bringing Mario Thomas to the plate. Thomas singled to center that allowed Carlos Figueroa an at bat. Figgy then punched a 1-1 fastball over the right-center field wall to cut the lead to one.
Tickets are available through the Aviator's website, www.aviatorsbaseball.com or call (361) 387-8585. All games are broadcast on KCCT 1150 AM, and the Aviators website.
