Aviators Learn Valuable Lesson Against League Leading Timbers

Edmonton, AL- The Edmonton Aviators lost 6-0 tonight against the Portland Timbers at PGE Park in Portland, Oregon.

Portland remains first in the Western Conference with a record of 7 wins and only 1 loss, while the Aviators Men's team continues to look for their first win. The Aviators have 4 ties on the season.

"Our new franchise learned a good lesson about what the A-League is all about tonight", said Ross Ongaro- Coach for the Edmonton Aviators Soccer Club.

The Aviators Men's team will return home to play the Montreal Impact next Tuesday at Commonwealth Stadium as part of a doubleheader with the Aviators Women's team. The game will mark the first ever meeting between the Montreal Impact and the Edmonton Aviators. In addition to this, the women's game will feature the debut of Canadian National Team U-19 players Aysha Jamani, Selenia Iachelli, and Stephanie Labbe who will be joining the Aviators W-League squad.
