
Aviators drop Game One to Fort Worth

ROBSTOWN, Texas â The Coastal Bend Aviators lost the first game of a three-game series to the Fort Worth Cats 7-4 Friday night at Fairgrounds Field.
Fort Worth struck first with five runs in the third inning. Jordan Foster hit a two-run single making the score 2-0. Bryon Smith followed with a two-run double making the score 4-0. David Keesee added a RBI double in the inning.
The Aviators scored three of their four runs on sacrifice flys. After Chris Judkins led off with a triple, Kenny Hansley hit a sacrifice fly in the third inning. Jack Joffrion hit a sac fly in the fourth inning scoring Edwin Maldonado.
Stephen Morales hit a RBI single in the sixth inning. Morales finished the night 3 for 3 before leaving with an injury.
Kenny Hansley added another sacrifice fly in the ninth inning scoring Joffrion that made the score 7-4.
Kevin Lynn (8-0) pitched seven innings and got the win for Fort Worth. Marc Acierno (1-1) gave up five earned runs over 7.2 innings for his first loss.
