ROBSTOWN, Texas -The Coastal Bend Aviators won for the second time tonight against the Jackson Senators. The Aviators will conclude the 2005 season tomorrow night in the finale.
In a game which featured 20 runs and 25 hits, the two teams traded runs all night. The Aviators outscored the Senators in the end 13-7.
Marc Acierno came in relief for Jorge Huerta to pick up the win improving to 3-6. All seven runs were charged to Huerta, who went 5.1 innings, striking out three and walking two. Acierno pitched 3.2 innings striking out one and walking one as well.
Eight of the nine starters were credited with at least one base hit in the high scoring affair. Matt Mann, Rich Gomez, Carlos Figueroa, Mike Guerrero, and Ben Tinius all had a pair of hits each.
