Austin Spurs Announce First Marquee Jersey Sponsorship with Texas Descon

AUSTIN (Nov. 11, 2014) - The Austin Spurs, presented by SWBC, today announced a marquee sponsorship with Texas Descon that will place the commercial construction company's logo on the front of the team's jerseys. The jersey sponsorship is the first of its kind for the Austin Spurs and the front of the team's home and away jerseys will display the Texas Descon logo, centered and just below the player numbers. The team will unveil the new jerseys today, Nov. 11, during Media Day at 2 p.m. at Cedar Park Recreation Center. Texas Descon provides commercial construction management and general contracting services in South Texas, including McAllen, Harlingen, Brownsville and San Antonio.

"This is another significant milestone in the growth and development of the Austin Spurs franchise," said Spurs Sports & Entertainment Vice President of Franchise Business Operations Tim Salier. "Texas Descon has been an industry leader in the region for more than 30 years and they are a terrific partner to serve as the Austin Spurs first-ever marquee sponsor."

The Austin Spurs-Texas Descon partnership also includes sponsorship of "Under the Boards", a farm report that will follow activities of players on the Austin Spurs roster through regular feature segments shown weekly on the Spurs Insider show on Fox Sports Southwest. Additionally, Texas Descon is the presenting sponsor of Spurs Affiliate Night on Friday, Dec. 5, when the Austin Spurs take on the Idaho Stampede at 7:30 p.m. at Cedar Park Center.
