Augusta Groove News Release
Buffalo, NY- Demitrius Howard hit for a game high 33, and despite the move of the league's leading scorer A.J. Millien to Halifax, Augusta didn't miss a beat in their 129-119 victory over Buffalo.
Augusta showed there is more to the team than just Millien as they held a 13 point lead after one. In the second, Buffalo came back to outscore the Groove 31-24 and went into the locker room down only six 60-54.
In the third, Buffalo still refused to go away closing the lead to three at one point, but then the Groove hit full stride going on a 13-2 run to increase the lead to 70-59. The lead would hit 18 on a Howard three before the Stampede closed the lead to nine at the end of three.
The teams would play more or less even for the rest of the contest as Augusta moves to 6-4 on the season while Buffalo now owns the league's worst record at 1-9.
