Atlanta Silverbacks News Release
Atlanta, Ga. (September 25, 2014) - Atlanta Silverbacks head coach Jason Smith is anticipating changes to the lineup Saturday when his side hosts the San Antonio Scorpions at Silverbacks Park (7:30 PM).
"We're probably going to make some changes this week and reward some of the guys that are really battling right now," Smith told AtlantaSilverbacksFC.com. "At this point we know San Antonio fairly well, we know what to expect."
Fueling the changes was last week's 3-0 loss to Ottawa, which was the team's third straight defeat.
Atlanta is still alive in the race to The Championship, the league's four team postseason. The Silverbacks sit nine points behind Carolina for fourth place in the combined standings, therefore Saturday's match is a near 'must-win' in order to remain within reach with six games remaining.
