JOLIET, IL - The Joliet JackHammers are proud to announce that their presenting sponsor for the 2010 season will be ATI Physical Therapy. The partnership between the two organizations will extend through the 2012 season as ATI becomes the exclusive physical therapy, athletic training and sports performance service for JackHammer baseball.

"Our partnership with ATI has energized the entire JackHammer organization," said JackHammer Executive Vice President and General Manager Jamie Toole. "We are thrilled to align the JackHammer brand with ATI and to have ATI serve as our presenting sponsor for the next three seasons of JackHammer Baseball."

ATI will be visible at Silver Cross Field throughout the agreement, sponsoring the Guest Relations Booth, Front Gate Entry and an outfield billboard. The organization will enjoy a full season luxury suite and sponsor the new ATI Fit Club. Details on the new Fit Club will be announced in the coming weeks.

"In addition to providing the JackHammers with the area's most advanced physical therapy and sports rehabilitation, our investment reinforces our commitment to the Joliet community and the Will County Area. We are looking forward to a great future in our partnership with the JackHammers!"

JackHammers Add Two Players

JOLIET, IL - The JackHammers have inked two more players for the upcoming 2010 season, adding shortstop Jorge Rodriguez and pitcher Michael Rocco. The JackHammers open the season on the road May 21st against the defending Northern League champion, Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.

Rodriguez comes to the JackHammers after playing the last few seasons in the Dominican Republic. The Cuba native last played in the U.S. in 2006, appearing in 22 games for the San Diego Padres rookie team. The 24 year old hit .242 with seven RBI and four steals in 80 plate appearances.

"Jorge Rodriguez is as polished as I had ever seen a player at a tryout camp," said JackHammer Manager Chad Parker. "He can run, hit, hit for power, throw and field. He can hit at the top of the line-up and has the ability to play any position every day. A natural shortstop, Jorge will provide great depth and flexibility to our club."

Rocco, 24, spent 2009 in the Los Angeles Angels' organization, ending the year at Cedar Rapids in the Midwest League. Rocco posted a 3-2 record with a 2.34 ERA and five saves in 24 games between the Angels rookie team and Class A Cedar Rapids. The Palm Desert, California native is originally a 24th round pick of the Chicago White Sox in the 2006 Amateur Draft.

"Mike continues our theme of getting guys that can anchor the back end of the bullpen," stated Parker. "He has a lot of experience finishing games."
