(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Knighthawks goalie Pat O'Toole will answer fans questions this week on knighthawks.net. Lacrosse fans can send their questions to O'Toole at playermail@knighthawks.net. All emails must include name, city and state. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, April 22nd at 4:00 p.m. O'Toole will post his replies at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24th.
This past Saturday, O'Toole was named the team's MVP for the third time in his career. This season, the veteran goalie was 7-6 with a 10.74 goals-against average and a .774 save percentage. On April 11th, he became only the second goalie to reach that 6,000 save plateau, joining the league's all-time saves leader Dallas Eliuk (6,356). O'Toole missed the first three games of the 2009 season, but returned to guide the Knighthawks into the playoffs. He was named the team's Connors & Ferris Comeback Player of the Year winner for his efforts since returning to the club.
On April 18th, the Knighthawks won their sixth straight home game, 11-8 over the Philadelphia Wings, to capture the fourth and final playoff spot in the East Division. Rochester will now face the East Division champion New York Titans the weekend of May 1-3 in the East Division Semifinals. Rochester is 1-2 this season against the Titans, winning the last meeting 15-7 on February 21st at The Blue Cross Arena.
