
Asheville Acquires Truscott

GREENVILLE, S.C., February 4 - The Asheville Altitude has acquired forward Louis Truscott from the NBA's National Basketball Development League available player pool, according to NBDL director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Altitude coach Joey Meyer.
At 6-6, 230, Truscott played his final two college seasons at Houston ('03), where he averaged 15.2 points and 11.3 rebounds in 28 games as a senior, earning first team All-Conference USA honors. His 11.3 boards per game ranked sixth nationally. Truscott transferred to Houston after playing two seasons at Nebraska.
Truscott has played professionally in England, playing this season for London Towers. He also has experience in the CBA (Gary in 2003-04) and USBL (Florence 2004). He was among USBL league leaders in offensive rebounding for Florence, averaging 3.4 offensive boards per game. He also played for the Houston Rockets summer league team in the 2003 Southern California Summer Pro League.
Truscott is expected to be in uniform tonight when the Altitude visits Huntsville.
