JUST TO REFRESH YOU: For NBDL players, refreshment comes strictly from the call â or the GATORADE Call-up â to be exact. Thirty-three NBDL players have earned NBA jobs on 44 occasions in less than four full seasons. In addition, nine former NBDL coaches, five athletic trainers, 11 referees and 29 front office executives have also been called up.

Asheville guard and 2001 NBA Draft first-round selection (21st overall,
Boston) Joe Forte put together his best night yet as a member of the
Altitude in a losing cause on Thursday. The former North Carolina
All-American came off the bench to convert 10-of-16 field goal attempts and
score 24 points in just 21 minutes.
REPRESENTING THE "D": Former D-Leaguer and current Clippers forward Bobby Simmons poured in a game-high 26 points and converted 10-of-12 field goal attempts in a 106-103 win over Memphis Thursday night. In 45 games (45 starts), Simmons is averaging 37.8 minutes, 15.9 points and 6.0 rebounds.
BIGFOOT: New Huntsville center Adam Parada presents a special challenge to Flight athletic trainer Scott Faust, who like all NBDL trainers is also in charge of overseeing team equipment. Parada wears a size 20 Reebok.
