Armor Make Roster Move, Gear up for Big Week

SPRINGFIELD, MA- The Springfield Armor announced today that Michael Sturns has been reacquired. The Armor's active roster now stands at 10.
Sturns, a 6'5 swingman, was selected by the Armor with their seventh round pick, 111th overall, in this year's NBA Development League Draft. He was one of the last two Armor players released prior to the conclusion of training camp on Nov. 23.
Sturns played collegiately at the University of North Texas for three years before finishing his college career at Division II Holy Family. In his senior season at Holy Family, Sturns led the nation in scoring, averaging 26.7 points in 35.2 minutes and was named the Central Collegiate Athletic Conference (CACC) Player of the Year.
The Armor improved their overall record to 4-1 on Friday with an overtime victory on the road over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. The Armor have raced out to their best start in franchise history and currently sit atop the Eastern Conference standings.
Springfield returns to action for back-to-back games against the Erie BayHawks on Wed. and Thurs. at the MassMutual Center, with both games scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM. This week's games are the Armor's last home games until after the New Year, as the team will hit the road for a grueling 16-day road trip after Thursday's game.
Per a recent league announcement, NBA D-League teams will be permitted to carry and dress for games a maximum of 12 players until one week after the commencement of NBA training camps. Following is the Armor's current 10-man roster:
