
Armada FC Transfers Akeil Barrett to Pitea IF of Swedish Second Division

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Armada FC announced on Friday the transfer of forward Akeil Barrett to Swedish second division club Piteå IF. Per club policy, terms of the transfer were not disclosed.
Barrett, 23, logged 1,214 minutes of action in 10 starts and 23 total appearances in North American Soccer League play last season for the Armada. He finished with three goals and one assist. A native of Kingston, Jamaica, he also had a U.S. Open Cup start last May. Barrett finished with one assist in five preseason appearances this year.
The Armada returns to action at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, when it takes on local NCAA Division II team Flagler College at Saints Field in St. Augustine, Fla. Tickets will be available on a walk-up basis and cost $7 for adults, $5 for students with ID, seniors 55 and older and children ages 10-17. Admission is free for children under 10.
