Arlington Renegades News Release

Arlington, Texas - The Arlington Renegades are set to face the D.C. Defenders in the XFL Championship Game on Saturday, May 13 at The Alamodome in San Antonio (7 p.m. CT on ABC / ESPN+ / ESPN Deportes). Tickets are on sale at XFL.com. THE ROAD ENDS HERE

The Renegades will meet the Defenders in the 43rd and final game of the 2023 XFL season. Arlington earned a spot in the Championship by dominating the Houston Roughnecks, 26-11, in the South Division Championship Game on April 29. The Defenders, who posted a league-best 9-1 record during the regular season, cruised to a 37-21 win over the Seattle Sea Dragons in the North Division Championship Game on April 30 to punch their ticket to San Antonio.

LOCAL WATCH PARTY

The Renegades are hosting a watch party on Saturday at Sports & Social in Texas Live! in Arlington (1650 E Randol Mill Rd Ste 120, Arlington, TX 76011). Fans are invited to cheer on the Renegades and enter to win special giveaway prizes. The event begins at 6 p.m. CT.

SEEKING A CHAMPIONSHIP

Head coach Bob Stoops will be making his sixth all-time appearance (fifth as head coach) in a Championship Game since beginning his career as a college coach. The College Football Hall of Famer led the Oklahoma Sooners to the BCS National Championship during the 2000-01 season. Quarterback Luis Perez is looking to add a professional championship to his resume after winning a Division II national title at Texas A&M-Commerce in 2017. He also won the Harlon Hill Trophy as Division II MVP that season.
